Norlevo 1 tab

Norlevo contains the active ingredient levonorgestrel. It is used as an emergency method of contraception after unprotected intercourse or if a properly used method of contraception has failed. Levonorgestrel works by altering the intra-tubular transport of sperm or eggs, preventing fertilization and implantation in the lining of the uterus. Norlevo is effective if taken within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected intercourse, but is more effective if taken as soon as possible.

Norlevo pill uses:

  • If the daily pill is forgotten or not used in the correct way, Norlevo can be used as an emergency method to reduce the risk of unwanted pregnancy.
  • Norlevo is used after unprotected sex without using a contraceptive method, such as a condom.
